Stigmatine Presence in the World

Founded in Verona, Italy, in 1816, by St. Gaspar Bertoni, nowadays the Congregation is present in 15 countries of the world:

The Stigmatines arrived in the United States in 1905. Shortly after their arrival a property in Waltham, Massachusetts was purchased. It is named the Espousal Center. It is also the location of the Provincial Office of the Province of the Holy Spouses, Bertoni Hall (residence of the Stigmatine Priests and Brothers), St. Joseph Hall (residence of the retired Stigmatines) and the Retreat House and Conference Center.

The Province has also parishes and communities in the following cities: Milford, Pittsfield, Springfield,West Springfield and West Yarmouth in Massachusetts, and another parish in White Plains, New York.

In 2005, the Stigmatines opened a new foundation in California. They are currently administering two parishes, namely, St. Elizabeth in downtown Sacramento and Holy Cross in West Sacramento.

The map below shows the location of the Stigmatines in the United States:

May our Lord Jesus Christ, in His Sorrowful and Glorious Stigmata, be our strength to Go Forth and Teach the whole world. May our holy patrons, Mary and Joseph and our holy founder St. Gaspar Bertoni intercede for us.
